Think Beyond
Texture

Not all patterns cooperate with every project geometry. Running bond, fractured fin, and wood grain each behave differently across long spans, curves, or corners. Pattern repeatability and flow direction are design decisions that need to be made early — not solved on the job site.

Always request repeat dimensions and flow direction. Our team provides layout guides to ensure textures align perfectly with your design intent — before production begins.

Tip 02

Know When to
Call in Urethane

Plastic liners are great for single-use pours. But when high re-use, tight curves, or extreme detail matter, urethane is the MVP. Writing just "formliner" in your specification leaves the material choice open — and that's where projects lose quality and predictability.

Spec Tip

Call out the material, expected re-use count, and surface finish expectations in your spec. This is the difference between a crisp, consistent reveal and a muddled mess across pours.

Detail Your
Joints Early

Unplanned joints lead to visual interruptions that are extremely hard to fix after the fact. Seam strategy, anchor placement, and joint line placement are all things that look minor on paper but become highly visible at scale — especially on long retaining walls or bridge abutments.

Show joint lines, seam strategies, and anchor placement in your drawings. We will collaborate with you to either hide them entirely or incorporate them as a deliberate part of the final aesthetic.
